End of Season Information

Hello, MHA Families,

With a rather abrupt end of the season, we are not able to operate as we normally would. To finish up some end-of-the-season tasks, the MHA Board will be at Little Bear West Arena on Sunday, March 22, from noon- 2pm to collect any raffle tickets that have not been turned in and for the 6U & 8U group to return any equipment that was borrowed for the season.

We will hold the drawing for the raffle prizes after the ticket collection period. If you are unable to make that time slot, please make alternate arrangements with Phil Berger for your tickets or with Jon Carlson or Tori Irving for your equipment drop-off.

Additionally, the MHA Board will hold a special meeting on Sunday to discuss how to wrap-up the end of the season and handle some of the items we usually address during the banquet, specifically elections.

Regarding elections, for our association to continue operating, the President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer roles must be filled prior to the start of the 2020-2021 season per USA Hockey and MAHA rules. All four of the officer seats are available and we have received very little interest in them. Most of the current officers are not running again and do not intend on returning to the board in any capacity, except for helping the new on-coming members. Please consider stepping up and joining the board so we can continue as an organization. If you are interested in joining the board, please submit your name to Tori Irving.

In addition to elections, MHA has worked to amend the bylaws. You can find the bylaws on the MHA website at: Please take some time to review them and submit any comments to Tori Irving or through the general ‘Contact Us’ link on the website. The goal is to have the new and improved bylaws ratified by the start of the next season.
